Overview: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant to our Litigation Manager to support our dynamic litigation team. This role involves a range of responsibilities from monitoring case-related documentation to managing interns and ensuring timely filings. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, an expert in time management, and adept at handling various administrative tasks to streamline litigation processes. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor and Report: Track and report overdue Form As, Form Cs, Motions to Dismiss, and Motions for Summary Judgment (MSJs). Ensure timely completion and submission of these documents. 
  • Case Complaints: Oversee the drafting of complaints for cases assigned to attorneys, ensuring they are prepared accurately and promptly. 
  • Touchpoint Trackers: Monitor and report on the progress of Touchpoint Trackers to ensure proper case management. 
  • Intern Management: Supervise and manage interns, providing guidance and support to enhance their effectiveness and learning. 
  • Expense Management: Handle all case expenses, ensure proper documentation, and update the expense report regularly. 
  • Attorney Support: Provide assistance to the attorney unit in the absence of support staff, ensuring smooth operational flow. 
  • Trial de Novos: Confirm that Trial de Novos are filed in a timely manner. 
  • Timely Filings: Ensure that all attorneys are filing their oppositions and briefs within the required deadlines. 
  • Task Management: Organize and prioritize tasks effectively to support the litigation process and meet deadlines. 
  • Cost Confirmation: Verify that all case costs are documented in files before mediation sessions. 
  • File Follow-Up: Follow up on all files lacking a date of accident to ensure complete documentation. 
  • Insurance Limits: Manage and address issues related to missing insurance limits. 
  • Distribution of Case Costs: Oversee the distribution of case cost checks accurately and efficiently. 
  • Litify Reporting: Utilize Litify for reporting purposes, demonstrating proficiency in the platform. 
  • Tech Savvy: Employ advanced technical skills to support litigation processes and manage relevant software and tools. 
  • Time Management: Exhibit expert time management skills to juggle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines effectively. 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a litigation or legal environment. 
  • Proficiency with Litify and other legal software tools. 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage interns and work effectively in a team setting. 
  • Advanced technical skills and familiarity with AMEX expense management. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred. 
  • Previous experience in a legal or litigation support role is highly desirable. 

 

Compensation Range:
$75,000$85,000 USD

Benefits: Full Time Employees and Part Time Employees over 30 hours per week
