Stamford contains around 40 miles of bikeways along with over 50 sidewalk connections to various neighborhoods. For those who prefer not to walk, Stamford has an extensive bus system as well.

The coldest months are January and February, averaging 36 degrees each. Stamford also receives over 26 inches of snowfall in winter, but this can vary based on how bad the season is.
