I'm a self-proclaimed art-lover and, as such, I've visited many art museums all over the world. However, Yale Center for British Art in New Haven, Connecticut, is one of the best art museums in the world.
I've been there a few times now, and it never ceases to amaze me how much the museum has to offer. From the art to the architecture, every detail is perfect. It has a world-renowned collection of over 2,000 paintings of British art, including some fantastic pieces by John Constable, Gilbert Stuart, and Francis Bacon. It is open 10-5 on weekdays and 12-5 on weekends, but its free admission days are the first Saturday and Sunday of the month.
I'm not going to tell you about all of the great pieces there, but I will tell you that it's worth a visit.
